US Soccer Foundation preemptively sues US Soccer Federation

Good for the US Soccer Foundation. The federation continues to reel out of control.

This lawsuit basically wraps up in one move the lack of vision with ussf. How do they not get behind the us soccer foundation? I donate to it. USSF has a treasure trove. USSFoundation who does good work to move the game forward, does not. Another example of do as a say not as I do (USSFederation always preaches about advancing the game, but here is the opportunity and it's forcing the Foundation into a legal battle). This sport is so twisted anymore.

Abhorrent behavior by the USSFederation. Their FIFA overlords are teaching them well.

US Soccer Foundation: But we’re about making a difference for kids in low-income communities, because the pay-to-play model and the increased expense of participation blocks them out. Around the world this is the most egalitarian sport there is. But right now the picture of the game in this country is largely a middle-class, upper-middle-class and suburban sport. And we’re working incredibly hard to change that and are having success. It would be another matter if we weren’t having success, but we’re bringing kids in, we’re creating access and opportunities, and we’re growing at a rapid rate in terms of the number of kids that we’re reaching every year.”

USSFederation is all about the money. I'm glad they're getting sued.

FIFA has a terrible history. Totally corrupt. Look at this story, poor Afghan women's national team getting abused and FIFA does nothing for years despite repeated reports. Absolutely disgusting. Watch your kids because USSF could be as bad as USA Gymnastics.

USA Gymnastic filed for bankruptcy last week. Good riddance.

Human rights groups are also closely watching what FIFA does (or doesn't do ) to try and keep this soccer player from being returned to Bahrain where he will probably be tortured, possibly killed. With their clout they could easily help him with a few phone calls.
