    1. Select GA driving 7 1/2 hours to play Empire United
    2. Select IMPACT NPL playing bayside a few times each season and having to deal with their crazy parents.

At this point id take the 7 1/2 hour car ride.
Nope there is nothing in this world that could get me to drive 7 1/2 hours for a league game in U-14. Id take Bayside parents 24/7 over driving 7 hours.

Can someone explain why NEFC was clearly left out of the impact league? Would have been alot stronger if NEFC teams were part of the league. You read all the time it is because of LL but having a top 3 Massachusetts club in her league would make the most sense? Right?

I'm sure they can but are choosing not to!

One could imagine that there was some sort of disagreement between NEFC and SSS on what to do about DPL/NPL.

Plus NEFC already put 2 teams in the NEP NPL league prior to Impact joining the fray. One could further imagine that having teams in two NPL leagues might be a tad confusing.

why would NEFC want to follow SSS? NEFC with two good DPL teams, seacoast united and now juventus joining DPL, DPL is a better league. is surf also joining DPL?

How is this a better league? All 2 and 3rd teams are left in the league and now 4th teams with Seacoast Mass and NEFC West joining. DPL is a sinking ship.

SW conference left to join ECNL-R, and the SE Conference lost its top clubs and replaced them with lesser groups too.

Thank you for keeping people honest. It is painful to come on here every day and have to correct inaccuracies such as those in the OP. DPL 2.0 is significantly weaker than DPL 1.0.

Also a fact, GA teams across the country are jumping to join ECNL-R. Per commissioner, going forward that will be the proving ground for teams to get into ECNL. Does not take a rocket scientist to think ECNL may be interested in expanding # of ECNL-R leagues comprised of clubs who put their #1 teams to compete with a goal of promotion to the national league. One more nail to put into GA coffin.

The NEFC West teams in the older kids are good, can beat the SSS DPL teams. DPL was all 2nd teams anyway for the larger clubs. I disagree, DPL 2.0 in the noreast better than 1.0. I don't know about seacoast mass, wasn't that the old fcusa?

Proving ground? I’m not so sure that will be the case. Stars will not allow competitor clubs into ECNL especially if they “prove” themselves by beating Stars ECNL-R teams. It’s in their interest to steal the players beating them. Not promote clubs into ECNL and risk losing their players to them. Zero chance.

Anyone argueing about this move being in any part to benefit the kids should have their head examined. It's about control. It's about power.
