Can someone explain why NEFC was clearly left out of the impact league? Would have been alot stronger if NEFC teams were part of the league. You read all the time it is because of LL but having a top 3 Massachusetts club in her league would make the most sense? Right?

One could imagine that there was some sort of disagreement between NEFC and SSS on what to do about DPL/NPL.
Plus NEFC already put 2 teams in the NEP NPL league prior to Impact joining the fray. One could further imagine that having teams in two NPL leagues might be a tad confusing.

SW conference left to join ECNL-R, and the SE Conference lost its top clubs and replaced them with lesser groups too.

Also a fact, GA teams across the country are jumping to join ECNL-R. Per commissioner, going forward that will be the proving ground for teams to get into ECNL. Does not take a rocket scientist to think ECNL may be interested in expanding # of ECNL-R leagues comprised of clubs who put their #1 teams to compete with a goal of promotion to the national league. One more nail to put into GA coffin.

Anyone argueing about this move being in any part to benefit the kids should have their head examined. It's about control. It's about power.
