Is Select the most expensive club in MA?

Serious question for select parents- what league does select’s GA teams move to when GA goes away this spring? Do they also go down to NPL? For all that is said about select this is going to be a total and utter disaster for the top girls at select.

Select will field multiple teams in NPL is my guess.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if GA goes away like most think you will have another league- super impact NPL??- start up with the usual Northeast suspects:

Select
Seacoast NH
Oakwood

etc....etc... Although not sure what NEFC will do, but they would be another club for the double impact NPL. Here is truly hoping that select and LL DO NOT bring over Empire United from the GA to go into the double impact NPL league. Select you do not need a team 7+ hours away to play in the NPL.

Im sure the coaches at select are already pitching this NPL league is already better than GA.

Maybe select can buy NEFC and help them out, although, NPL is probably a worse league than EDP.

if I had a daughter on the top team at select at this point I'd pick the $5K for NPL and save $500 or more select will charge to play for the name Impact NPL. It's still NPL, anyway you look at it. The million dollar question becomes....what league will Select GA teams be forced to play in next year once the GA folds? That's a bummer for the girls going from DA to GA to NPL in a matter of 2 years. Talk about taking a step or 3 down.

Saw SSS 05 and 04 teams went 1-1-1 at SUSA. Saw that the 04 last 1-0 and the 05 tied 1-1. Great competition for both clubs but how much did LL charge her players to attend this tournament. I will take the over on $100 per player that attended on top of the $4,300 tuition which does not include tournaments.

Not a troll, or have any association with select, but time to give LL her props. Whatever happened between her and NEFC must have been bad. Leaving NEFC out of the NPL and stealing one of NEFC's directors is classic. It certainly has NEFC's attention. Doesn't paint them in a good light. Good job LL!

Disagree yes she has the upper hand- now - but the battle has just begun. If she continues to squeeze NEFC out they will probably come up with am equal plan of their own. Lots of leagues for clubs to associate with. No big deal.
