Sorry sport numbers don't lie. CU with 30 on the roster? Yah right, you have no idea what you are talking about. 9 of those listed never stepped on the field or played one or two games, and those players are still listed with the overall U18 class numbers. You really aren't giving it your all here, there are maybe 20 people on this site and half probably don't even care about ECNL. I fear that this is not an optimal place for your protest and maybe you should picket some pre-ECNL camps or games. Even better take an ad out with the Beaverton Leader or some other local paper to really get your message heard.

Why question anything ECNL tells people, they have no reason to fudge numbers, do they? They don't stand to benefit from numbers which make their organization look better, do they? For all anyone knows, some ECNL office staff member whose main job is to help design logos was put in charge of compiling this data. Lets see some data from some unaffiliated third party. Oh wait, you did and you don't believe it. If it doesn't fit the agenda, then it's false.

Ecnl is only a little more than top travel teams. It could be argued it's just as crazy for B & C team players to pay premier club prices and travel all over the state for games & tourneys. In a way, they'd be much smarter to just stay close to home & play rec. However, they find other value in the premier club "experience"and that is fine. People have the right to spend their money the way they want.

So it must be good. $40,000 and four years of traveling and what will your dd have to show for it? An offer from Lewis and Clark. Whooo Hoooo. Well done, Rube.

Math, pure and simple, evades the ECNL rubes. 90% means that 16 our of 18 are going. Or 20 out of 22 (rounding up by .4). The real numbers aren't even close. Complete lie by ECNL.

Secondly, here is a better "random" sample from June 2014, by a blogger whose daughter did NOT do ECNL. It is also a sample because it only takes into consideration those recruits who reported their commitment, but this is a pretty common practice. Remember that if each ECNL team at U18 had 20 players that would be around 1520 spots (before the new teams joined) anyway, interesting article that applies real "statistical analysis" not cherry picking the bad teams to prove a point!
