I've known a lot of teachers and there is a reason that all of the top teachers go to public schools. Not only is the pay better, but they don't have to deal with prima donna parents of private school kids who believe that they own the teachers and that the only kid that matters is their own.

Great coaches are like standout players. Some are very committed and passionate about helping players grow in their love and skills of the game. Others are there for the paycheck and are simply mediocre.
Parents need to do their homework. Ask former parents of a particular coach's team and ask about coaching philosophy, temperant, treatment of players, and whether or not development occurred. Ask former or current CP if their child enjoyed this coach.
Why anyone would spend so much money without researching is beyond me.

Yo are correct the Private schools attract teachers who love teaching, but frequently they lose them not because of pay and unions, but because of wanting benefits and retirement plans…both something typically not provided by private schools.

Were all dumb and the clubs, DOC's, BOD's all know it. were like sheep, following one another to slaughter.
The problem is none of us are willing to gather openly and stand up to them.
Ive got an older and before our time there have been some teams and parents that have stood up to the clubs and moved about for the better (better coaching and sort of stood alone within the club and made their own decisions).
This is before TS and the internet where everyone is a keyboard badazz talking like they know something and will do whats right.
Start with your team. Get your parents in a room together (no coach), with an agenda, budget in mind and hash it out. If your the instigator, dont get frustrated if it dont go all your way. Dont jump clubs if your team is competitive and you like the coach. At least you tried.
