England's Disgraceful Dive in WWC

It's official--it's time for all those apologists for the women's game who laud it for the absence of diving to shut it. That blatant dive by the England player to "earn" a penalty was a disgrace. Though if anyone has been paying attention, there's been as much diving in the WWC as there is at any men's WC.

Same to all the England fans and commentators, men and women's game, who claim to hate diving and it has no place in the game, blah, blah, blah--it's time to shut it because your player just dove.

4 penalties called in 2 semi-final games so far. 3 of them were bad calls. The 1 right call should have resulted in a red card but didn't. Very questionable officiating.

Yup, and in the first half of the US - Germany game Heath and Morgan were both grabbed by the waist and pulled down in the box and neither infraction was called. The officiating in this world cup has been terrible.

Okay so both finalists had the help of some bad calls to reach the finals. Let's not forget Morgan's penalty that wasn't because contact occurred outside the box and Johnston's red card that wasn't for denial of goal scoring opportunity in the box. Had that call been correctly made, the US would have been playing with 10 players, a much different game. But regardless both US and Japan are in finals and it should be a fun game.

and the penalty not called for germany that would have put them down a player as well, and had england not given japan their goal, it really could have been a different game.. but enough about could have should haves....
