ODP and US Soccer both try to identify players for national teams, and could see how USGDA might approve a Weston player doing both. But then it should have in its rules that it is okay for every GDA player to do both.

Then why doesn't U.S. Soccer try doing a little "governing?" They created this current clown circus of rules not being adhered to in ODP, H.S. Soccer, etc. If they are the governing body then govern.

With GDA claiming to have the 99% pathway to the national team then why let GDA players do ODP. Let other elite players who do not have access to GDA have the ODP. A little selfish on the GDA players part and on US Soccer for allowing it.

The college coaches will be leaving after today to get settled at Disney or to get back home for Thanksgiving. Shouldn’t the ODP event start games on Saturday and end on Wednesday? Like train Saturday, game Sunday, game Monday, rest Tuesday, game Wednesday and done. What is the ODP logic to playing on Thanksgiving and Black Friday?

The ECNL Showcase is not ideal for Florida ECNL teams because it is high school season and club teams are not practicing or maybe 1 practice some weekends. Other ECNL teams are in prime form.

Yes, all that practicing indoors really has them ready to play outside....

Any college scouts who would go watch ODP on Thanksgiving would find the 03 and 04 teams (8 total teams) each playing at 8 am. On Friday the 02 and 01/00 eight teams each play at 8am. At least the first days games are spead out so coaches can only watch one game at a time and really get to see all the players.

The cost for the week was minimal except airfare. U. S. youth soccer must have surplus funds to pull the event off.
