High school soccer is not very good. However, most kids really enjoy high school sports. You get hundreds out to your game. School spirit. Extended family gets to come out for the events.

So it's cost of playing versus quality of life. How did this year's graduating class 2018 turn out for Thorns? Was the savings worth the missed op's to play last year with friends in HS?(Don't add two Cal kids because they committed as Soph's, and should probably count as FCP kids).

High school soccer is not very good. However, most kids really enjoy high school sports. You get hundreds out to your game. School spirit. Extended family gets to come out for the events.

Most kids really enjoy club sports too. Extended family and friends can also come to all the local club/Gda games. Many girls choose club soccer over other high school sports. Why do you care if some girls also choose Gda over high school sports? No one is forcing anyone. Play ecnl or on am oysa team if you like that better. Gda is a national league & the states have different high school soccer seasons so it wouldn't be feasible to have a break during every state's high school season. Gda was created to find & develop future national team members. It wasn't created to make the best team in the state. Gda is for developing the individual soccer before all else, elite player. It's not the only option and their are many other options. Do what is best for your own dd and enjoy.

If GDA was created to develop elite players then it should close up shop now. It's failing miserably on all fronts, and even more so at Thornz Asylum.

Bet those girls that travelled to NorCal with the Thornz last weekend loved the 6 to 16 minutes playing time they got all weekend. That must have been a ton of fun.

I hope the NWSL sticks around but they really need to drum up so tv viewers.
