And your little gambit of course is always wanting and needing to belittle somebody and something, and so you suggest that Brandeis is not all that. Well, it's an excellent academic school. For you everything is Harvard (or in your case Duke) or bust. Please excuse the rest of us losers from existing. And no wonder you see no value in really good schools where you should have sent your other kid from a Brandeis to a SLU to a William Smith to a Wooster to a Wheaton. The bottom line is that you are a fat, horrible and completely miserable person infested with narcissistic wounds that have never healed.
For those of us not in the know, exactly what happened to this guy?

Son of Tommy Heinsohn, legend and great guy but apparently not such a good father. BTFT is a psycho stalking slob.

That's actually not fair. I call him out because he relentlessly puts other people down. Any post referring to "the D3 crowd" or "face saving" is his. Among many, many other "tells". I believe each family and player has to do what works best for them -- whether that's D1, D3, no college, going pro, quitting soccer -- and Paul Heinsohn believes anything other than D1 is a waste of time. Also if the player isn't on the national team, they are terrible.

          That sounds pretty nuts.

Well tbh a couple of those younger so called NT players are mediocre and overrated.

And he's held that position for year. Consistent is about all you can about him

He never said it was a waste of time but certainly something that should be weighed very carefully especially when there is no scholarship money involved to warrant the level of commitment. His "is the juice worth the squeeze" point typically rankles the "academics come first" posters who many it seems secretly covet their kid's soccer glory as much as the rest of the crowd here.

God forbid players play because they enjoy it. Sorry but you can't play rec soccer and expect to make a college team. It just doesn't work that way despite claims to the contrary. In an ideal world we wouldn't have all these leagues and travel. But parents have no control over it. They're just trying to get their kids through the messed up system as best they can. By and large they can afford it and athletic $ isn't always the goal. Using soccer to get into a better school is.

Is this really what BTNT thinks, BTNT?

And why do YOU care? Do you care about the families? Your motivations are humanitarian and philanthropic? Why aren't you focusing on the wonderful world of elite D1 competition? How do you think the ACC is going to shake out? You'd really prefer to spend your time on whether someone's kid wants to play soccer at Colby? How could that possibly be of interest to you?

Exactly. Now the newbies should try to absorb that BTNT has been doing this on a near daily basis for close to 15 years. Let that sink in. He has slowed down. He used to have a handful of threads, often started by him and fictionalized, be going simultaneously. Of course in those days he would at least tangentially talk about soccer -- like how some U12 girls team had been too physical with his kid's team and obsessional posting about Stars being a dangerous and vile cult club. Now instead of providing any commentary on upscale D1 soccer or the actual experiences of a bigti
