So on top of the almost $4,000 I pay MF I also need to pay for training outside of the club (which is against MF rules) just so my kid is good enough to stay on the team. Lol. You clowns get funnier everyday.

Methinks you don't know what that cupcake reference means. So when all is said and done between paying for MFA and then paying for training outside the club twice a week, who does your kid listen to more?

That’s the difference between pda kids and MF kids. Ones know that they need to put extra 4-5 hours of work on their own (or through the club, or without the blessing of the club) and ones who think they made it. There is a competitive world out there beyond the north east, and that’s the commitment they are putting in 9 months of the year.

It’s not about the fun and the cupcakes after the practice with your damn team, but about the effort you are willing to put in on your own.

This pretty much sums it up. It’s the extra work the player puts in with a trainer or by themselves that separates themselves from everyone else. No way you can rely on the team practices alone for development no matter the club the player is at.

give credit to PDA coaches for what ? PDA have done an amazing marketing job. They dont produce any more top level talent than anyone else. This myth that all their players are putting in mega work outside of Club time and going on to excel at the highest levels over and above others is just that. Very few kids have that drive or the talent and that has nothing to do with what Club they play for.

Stop buying it. Open your eyes and have your child take control of her own development. Use the Clubs for what they can give you, but you have to own it

Kids should also be watching professional soccer matches. So much to learn from watching the best. It’s easy and it’s for the most part free!

That statement is true everywhere. Different kids mesh with different coaches. Find one that resonates with your kid, if that is practical. If not, then re-assess. Its far too simplistic to suggest that PDA will make your kid better.

not really. most kids are not at the technical level where thy could implement what they see.
