This is what people don’t understand
US Soccer is a part of FIFA, the worldwide governing body of soccer.
There are two pots of money generated for FIFA.
One pot is for the Men’s team’s generated by MLS, EPL, La Liga, National Men’s teams, video game, etc... for FIFA which they redistribute.
The other pot of money is produced by National teams, and a fledgling professional women’s teams worldwide, no video game, etc... for which FIFA redistributes.
If your country has a Men’s National Team and Professional League then the worldwide governing body of soccer will give you a piece from that pot.
If your country has a Women’s National Team and Professional League then the worldwide governing body of soccer will give you a piece from that pot.
The Men’s pot of money is vastly more profitable than the women’s.
