skunk works
GDA was a real skunk works. The only solace is they didn't get a chance to destroy the younger age groups. Completely spanked, gutted and fried.

The funny thing about all of this local ECNL discussion is we are now right back to where we were 10 to 15 years ago before all of the ECNL and Girls DA madness showed up. It used to be that the top 4 to 5 teams in Oregon were very solid and every once in a while one team would be very good. But, overall as compared to the rest of the west coast even the best Oregon teams were mostly average.
I watched the games this weekend and none of those teams for either club are special. The soccer was boring, not even remotely creative or interesting. It was mostly kicking or dribbling forward into pressure, losing the ball and chasing it back until they won it and then do it all over again.
This was literally the exact same type of soccer that was played by the best teams in Oregon 15 to 20 years ago. Except now it cost five times as much and you get to say you are elite. This has been a complete fraud which has been perpetrated on the parents and players and has led to exactly the same end point.
What we saw this weekend and will continue to see from the three local ECNL teams is big minnows swimming in a very small pond.

The fraud goes on and it's even sicker since all play is local & recreational fare at (special ed) travel club prices.
It's actually hilarious and pathetic at the same time. SUCKAS($)

I anxiously await your response about how weak our conference is and teams in ecnl all suck etc..... and why everyone should just stick with OYSA.

But who knows these days, it's documented that Biden wins the election and Trump says it's going to be overturned.
Beauty of today's world is we get craft whatever narrative we want, just because we say so.
Please pay for more useless travel, cause you can!

This weekend was the first time back for both CU and Thorns. I watched some of the games and thought there was some special in the midst of the rust. Hopefully coaches across the state can help enhance the special and shake off the rust. Best of luck to all teams/players/coaches with that, regardless of league.
THEY ARE PLAYING IN MASKS!
Seriously you want to talk about rust? Trying playing while sucking on the tailpipe of a car. More travel please.
