Ok AH. You smoking that ganja tonight???? You are using guest players to fill rosters and last week a team played with 10 players and no goalie. The walls are caving in and you know it. This thread was started in my opinion to offset the news that Weston/pines/sunrise have an agreement and you are running out of options to field competitive teams next year. 1 player being recruited out of 7-8 teams is not news man. Every club down here can say the same thing.

Absolutely wrong! Of course, a kid can communicate with a coach. The kids need to make the outgoing call. Kids are committing all over the country before their junior years. The new rules have to do with communication during ID Camps as well as "official visits". No official visit before junior year, and no two-way communication before the junior year (meaning only the player can call or text the coach but not the other way around).

Check topdrawersoccer.com for a list of weekly commits (this is only partial). There are some freshmen and plenty of sophomores.

Check your facts before making such ridiculous blanket statements.

So how are those Weston sunrise pines DA teams doing ? Lost 3 out of 4 to IMG. Prime has no fields, no coaches, no players, no college connections, no chance.

Compared to the results Prime is putting up, extremely well. Prime is doing even worse than I expected.

I’m very sure all these top players are committing to schools (some very expensive schools no less) with out ever discussing scholarships and certainly the schools themselves don’t want to have any idea of money allocation per class and who is coming for what $$$ until all the kids are juniors...most schools just wing it.

You can't prove me wrong thou. Verbal commitments mean nothing. You can verbally commit to washmachine university nothing is official til you sign papers junior or senior year with the amount of money a school is willing to give you for your talent.

You are correct,, you moms are idiots. She verbally committed ! That is it, they commit to give her a roster spot as long as she stays healthy and her grades stay up... NO MONEY is discussed until junior year.. it’s nice for the kid, but a lot of things could happen in 4 years!

No offense but a lot of these posts show that many of you have: 1) a very distorted understanding of the recruiting process, 2) you have not been involved in the nuts and bolts of the process, and 3) you and your kid have not been involved in the detailed discussions about an actual offer from a college.

There is the "formal" process and then there is the way "agreements" are actually made between colleges and families.
