Yes, our academy program has developed a lot of overseas players who have American citizenship.

Yay, a dozon or so americans play in EPL, Bundesliga and La Liga .... Our best young player is not a product of DA (Pulisic) and, collectively, US pros are weak in comparison to what is coming out of dozens of other countries much smaller and poorer than ours without a governing body not quite as wise as ours no less. What has been done pales in comparison to what actually needs to be done .... Its just not working. It's no wonder the girls of America said no thanks.

“Our best young player is not a product of DA (Pulisic)”

He played club for PA Classics for like 7 years. Don’t let one fact get in the way of your otherwise sound argument. You’re correct in the rest.

Yeah, I am sure his time in europe as a youth and all of his additional outside training had little to do with his development as compared to PA Classics. Where are the rest of the PA Classics studs?

That wasn’t your original point, but go ahead and change the narrative however you see fit.

That was EXACTLY my point you Dolt. If he just played at PA Classics, he would be going to Shippensburg University like so many of his clubmates.

Why so angry? Resorting to name calling when stumped is always a good measure of someones intelligence.

So I guess this wasn’t your point then...

“Our best young player is not a product of DA (Pulisic).” I put it in quotes because you said it and it was false. He was a product of DA, also played and starred for our youth national teams while there. Do a little research before spouting off and calling people dolts. Check the PA Classics alumni, not too many Shippensburg U players on the list.

Why so stupid? If Pulisic did not have the exceptional opportunities his parents gave him outside of club soccer, he would be a very good American player, but he would not be a player on the world stage. If US Soccer was doing such a great job, they would have more than one star pupil on the world stage (that didnt get the bulk of his training at PA Classics!).

                    https://bleacherreport.com/articles/...isic-blueprint

Started at PA Classics at 11, left for Dortmund at 16 .... how many years of DA did he get? Not many (probably 2 or 3 since he played up and DA didn't go down to U12 back then as it does now). He came in as a star and left as one but it was no thanks to DA. That article details how much of his training was the antithesis of exactly what DA soccer is (which is making robots). DA and GDA naturally suppresses great players, it does not foster them.

^ this. They keep holding Pulisc up as the gold standard for DA when in fact his development had very little to do with DA. It was just a team he played on.

So is Dortmund. Just a team he plays on.

Training in the US (which the DA is the top of the pyramid) is very lacking. So his dad knew he had to get his son out to realize his potential.

(just cuz it's Saturday doesn't mean you aren't allowed to engage your brain)

Compared to Europe's professional teams, yes, the DA training is lacking. Compared to non-DA clubs in the US though, an average DA club's training is miles ahead. Oakwood is an average club whose training methods and environment and standards are miles ahead of any non DA club in CT.

Miles ahead of any non DA club. You really believe that

Their training is no different than any other club. If it was then no outside player could ever make an OW team. We know that’s not true

Only difference is that OW and other DA clubs get most of the better area players
