connecticut is one of the few states left in the region that still holds onto a relatively old rule. the rule will never change, it's the good ole boys running the show and they're content with the status quo.

So you think it's ok for a HS coach to have large number of his squad playing club for him? You don't think that gives his HS team an advantage vs opponents? You don't think that might give coaches an opportunity to pressure kids to play for him that might not want to? Or that PT will be cut if you don't play on his club team? Come on without it, it's ripe for abuse. It's a good rule.

It's getting deep with the powder after all the SNOWFLAKES biotching on this post. Some hurt feelings from parents outside of CFC that are afraid lil Mia gets a fighting chance? How about tell your kid to work harder and touch up her skills outside of practice day. If your kid has as much talent as you think, any coach will find pt for a stud...period.

According to CIAC rules he can only coach 8 girls from the CIAC roster, not the HS roster. None of the CFC u15 team was on CIAC roster.

everybody is on the CIAC roster- thats the governing body for HS sports
you are thinking of the tournament roster and that is not applicable for this rule

12 of them all on freshman team? Ha, sounds like you should have the grudge that their club training has been quite insufficient. Have fun on JV next year.

Why do you think this rule is wrong?
