(May 23, 2018) – Boca United FC is pleased to announce that the clubs has signed a partnership agreement with the Ives Estates Soccer Premier in which the South Florida based soccer clubs will work together to combine resources and support in the running of USSF Development Academy Programs for elite level young players (Boys and Girls).

Boca United has been a member of the USSF Development Academy League since 2013 and Boca United Academy Director Eichmann and Asaf has been actively looking to expand the “footprint” of the Academy program by seeking partnerships with other local clubs that share the same player development philosophy, playing style, and vision. After observing the improvement of Ives Estate Soccer Premier club over the last several years under the leadership and guidance of Player Development of Jason Albury, and after detailed discussions and meetings, it was clear that a partnership between the clubs made sense and most importantly would be based on a solid foundation of a shared player development philosophy which both club directors felt was imperative to the long term success of the partnership.

“I am extremely excited about our new partnership said DOC Albury, “Combining our resources and efforts will only help to improve and enhance our boys and girls USSF Development Academy Programs. Furthermore, in addition to our primary responsibilities as a USSF Development Academy club of identifying the top talent in the South Florida / Treasure Coast area, offering them a high performance professional training environment and competition, and developing their character as young people, we feel that our Academy also has a responsibility to do our part to help improve youth soccer in general throughout our surrounding communities. Our partnership is a great way for us to start to achieve that objective while simultaneously offering more players a direct pathway to the USSF Academy League which is the highest level of competition in the country.” Ives Estate Soccer Premier had a successful 2017-2018 soccer season:

2003 Black Number 1 in Florida.
2002 Black Number 1 in Florida.
2005 Black Number 7 in Florida.
2002 Red Number 8 in Florida

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the players and soccer families in our community and we are excited to be part of something very special for the players,” Director Albury. “I am looking forward to working with Coach Eric and Asaf. Boca United as we collaborate on this player development project and combine resources to offer a very professional program for the players in our area.”

The clubs has also developed and helped many girls and boys players move on to play college soccer.

“Our partnership with the Ives Estate Soccer Premier Club will provide player development opportunities and exposure to college and professional scouts for even more young aspiring soccer players in our shared area,” said Boca United Executive Director John Hurst.

The new Academy name South Florida Football Academy (SFFA) will reflect the new partnerships and represent our programs partnership.

It is important to note that the new partnership is designed to allow clubs to work together to support and improve the two USSF Academy Programs (Boys and Girls) by combining resources (players, staff, training resources, field, coaching, etc.). However, in addition to the jointly supported Academy teams, clubs will continue to operate their respective competitive programs and offer non-Academy teams in all age groups as they have always done in the past.

The non-Academy teams at each club will be considered Pre-Academy teams and those players will have the ability to be moved from the Pre-Academy teams into the USSF Academy Program teams at any time during the year based on their development and performance in the Pre-Academy team/program.

Boca United is commencing its on field evaluation process to prepare for the 2018-2019 US Soccer Development Academy season. ID CAMPS will be free of charge and will consist of a 90 minute training session with our Academy staff. We will answer any questions regarding the Academy program after these sessions. Below are the ID Camp dates. ALL ID CAMPS ARE BEING HELD AT SOUTH COUNTY REGIONAL PARK IN BOCA RATON, FLORIDA.

Couldn't you add PBG to that list also. At the 03 age you have:

      1. Ives
      2. Boynton
      3. Wellington
      4. PBG

Seems like of those 4 teams you could have a pretty good amount of players combined with the current DA 03's. Maybe something to look for in two years.

U16 is not only #1 in the State but #1 in the nation based on GotSoccer rankings.

Wrong...6 in the Nation. You can't be #1 in the Nation unless you win a National Championship, which they haven't.

Yea, we just don't know how good these teams are or if there are any DA level players, at all. The TBU ecnl team made it to the State Cup semis and only lost to GPS by 2 goals. GPS beat Ives by one goal. I say this because this is TBU's B team, meaning the kids that could not make the TBU DA and not one of the TBU ecnl players could come close to making the Clearwater 03 team. You would think out of 4 top teams in the state that there would be at least 4 or 5 quality, DA level players, that could really help Boca in a couple of years, but maybe not.

TBU honks are slacking today. Took them almost 2 full pages to incorporate their propaganda into a thread about 2 clubs a couple hundred miles away potentially merging.

But they have to work with Boca United for access to the Academy. How is that a positive for them?

Major fields at BU? You obviously have never been to Logger's Run.

Nope, your wrong about kids on the TBU ecnl team not wanting to play TBU DA for several reasons. Only one reason, they were not good enough to make the DA. Then you look at how the TBU DA is close to the bottom of the DA southeast standings and the TBU ecnl team was dead last in the ecnl standings and it illustrates how bad the regular club teams are, even at the top, since that TBU ecnl team made it to the state cup semis. The only reason that TBU and CC came up at all was just to show that the partnership between Boca and Ives, as well as their other partnerships, may not bring in the quality players that they need to be one of the best clubs in the DA, let alone, make the playoffs in DA. Please try to follow along.

Several reasons for playing ecnl over DA

                                1. Less travel - nope - ecnl is more parent travel to get your kids to games
                                2. Less expensive - nope - ecnl is more expensive
                                3. Better competition - nope - DA is far more competitive
                                4. Higher quality soccer - nope - DA is much higher quality soccer, speed and skill.
                                5. Scouted better - nope - top college coaches and national team scouts only go to DA games and showcases, not ecnl.
                                6. Playing time - maybe - you were told at the beginning of the year that your kid would be an end of the bench player and majority of the minutes would go to another kid in his position. Not really a valid reason since a confident player/parent that is in that position should take that as an insult and work like a possessed demon in training to win the job or be in that higher level environment.
                                7. Wants to play high school - seriously - have you ever seen high school soccer? Serious competitive soccer players need not apply.

Otherwise, there is not reason, other than being cut.
