I could see putting B teams in an Oregon league but to put your A team in is simply cowardly & greedy. The Oregon State Cup champion spot at Regionals is supposed to be for the best team from Oregon.
You sound more like a whiner here. Tsk, tsk.

Our teams on both side of the 'border' have benefited from blended (OR/WA) competition in state cup and tournaments for many more years than perhaps your time involved in youth soccer.

Eugene girls are on a roll. Eugene’s u14, u16, u17 & u18/19 teams are all in the State Cup Finals. Well done, Eugene!

We want the top players in the area. Majority of those players come from across the river in Vantucky.

Every reason Timbers Academy should be training at Harmony twice a week.

I believe they should be able to play in league but not count in the standings and only Oregon teams should be allowed to play in the Oregon State Cup. They have their own state leagues and cups! If we must allow them, then they should have to lose all membership in Washington soccer and have to change their name to something like Oregon Vancouver Timbers. Completely unfair for a bigger state to sand bag in our easier leagues and State Cup, taking away the opportunities for actual teams from OREGON! If they changed the rules, maybe more of thosoe Oregon players that play on a Washington club team would stay on an Oregon club team too.
It's the B team Washington teams who play state cup in Oregon. They have no other choice unless they want to lose drastically.

While many talented players do come from Clark County, a majority?

Put down the Hamms. You've had enough.

Maybe the GPS 03s could move to Eugene and then Eugene would have finalists in every age group!

04s, 02s, 01s and 99s from Eugene all made the finals? That's impressive! Who knew little old Eugene was the girls soccer capital of Oregon. Going to the finals in 4 out of the 5 main girls high school age groups must be rare.

U15 girls go to quarterfinals, older age groups go directly to semifinals.

                        By club:

                        ETFC: 11
                        WST: 7
                        United: 6

                        FC: 4
                        IFC GPS: 3
                        EST: 3
                        WashT: 2
                        Bend: 2
                        RVT: 2
                        Corvallis: 1
Surprising that the 03 Crossfire B team (ECNL is A team) made it to the finals and the 01s made it to the semi finals. That shows very good depth.

The teams in OYSA State Cup are mostly A team. B team is in ECNL. ECNL is for rich kids who can afford to travel. Not necessarily the most talented.

How many girls were from XFire on the ECNL team?

Not that rare when the 2 top girls clubs don't compete in state cup with their A teams.

Even more so considering they didn’t even have an 00 team and were scrounging players as young as 03’s to play on the 99 team all season. DOC and coaches have done a nice job with a relatively small pool of players in a relatively isolated area.
