That would imply that Albertsons loses boys and SUSA gains boys

Are you aware that this is the inaugural year for boys ECNL?

Does anyone know who will be the head coaches for the 2003 and 2004 SUSA ECNL teams?

They didn't announce who was coaching what teams at the meeting recently, but they did talk about how there are only going to be a select few trainers/coaches for the ECNL program. I know when we looked to register our kid for tryouts it said Moussa Sy and Ron Alber were heading up evaluations.

Wow. Sounds like Susa is begging players to go to their tryouts. Must have had a really bad showing. I guess having 5 premier girl teams on LI will water everyone down. The whole thing is just a real shame.

If you mean the other website then yes you are right. Three diff threads it looks like they are begging kids and making special offers to “Fury DA” kids?! That definitely looks desperate.

I'm not a SUSA parent but this is just smart marketing. They see how the market is changing with all the DA/ECNL news. Why not try to bring in good players to improve your brand? Parents/kids are scrambling without knowing what's going to happen with their current teams.

Maybe, but hearing what’s going on they have not been satisfied with the turnouts. They thought there would have been more quality kids show up and this has definitely not been the case.

Show up from where? Do these clubs think there is an unlimited supply of kids from families ready willing and able to take on these crazy high end $occer travel league$?

Susa teams are very good to begin with. If they pick up nothing they will be fine. That said, if they can grab a couple of difference makers they will have a great first year in the Ecnl. Nycfc did the very same thing last year with their girls program and it paid off. Y’all are just a bunch of haters who can’t stand to see someone else succeed. Not shocking as most soccer parents are this way. Even with kids on their own kids team. Shameful.

I assume show up at tryouts. I think they were thinking that they would get an influx of new quality girls. Only someone like Riley can make that happen. No one else has that clout.

But, to your second point, I agree the costs are very high. But, they are very high for any activity (Dance, sports, etc) you kid does. If your daughter is a first team DA or ECNL player then you suck it up. If not, then go play NYCSL or LIJSL and be happy.

Speak for your own hater team or club. They are not all that way and the more quality teams and clubs on LI the better. Comparing SUSA to NYCFC is silly.

Some age groups are better than others...looking at the standings, some teams will struggle in ECNL if they aren't dominating NYCSL NPL. The fact of the matter is that SUSA knows they need some other players to truly be competitive, but some SUSA parents won't accept that the kids already there just aren't at that level.

you talk like all age groups are the same. you are clearly referring to one in particular. secondly, if ECNL was so important and SUSA had players that wanted that, why did they not leave SUSA ? what is a great first year? winning games?
