Northwestern, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, Purdue, Notre Dame all in the midwest.

Harvard, MIT, Boston college, Princeton, Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Cornell, Columbia all upper east coast

All better than just about any of the southern schools... and these are just the big names, not going into DII DIII etc.

Most Colleges have a requirement for X amount credits for admission as well.

So 1-2 years somewhere else as long as you aren't flunking out gets you in the door pretty easily.

        Get into UF!
The University of Florida (UF) admits more students from Santa Fe College (SF) than from any of the other 27 Florida state colleges. In fact, the majority of SF students who apply to UF each semester are admitted, including 88 percent of students in the SF honors program.

Why are our students so successful? Perhaps it is due to our small class sizes, rigorous academic environment, personal attention from faculty and guidance from academic advisors. Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree advisors are well equipped to answer any of your questions on how to be admitted into your desired major at UF.

Please make an appointment to meet someone at the Academic Advisement Center for more information. UF advisors also regularly visit the UF@SF Center to meet with prospective students and offer them additional advice. Please see a schedule of UF advisor visits on the SF calendar.

Here's a few other programs and perks that can help you become a Gator:
UF PaCE and Innovation Academy Students
Students who have been admitted to the University of Florida’s PaCE program or Innovation Academy can enroll at Santa Fe College as transient students and benefit from face-to-face instruction and small class sizes. PaCE students must complete a minimum of 15 credit hours of courses online through UF. Additional credit hours, including major course prerequisites, can be completed at SF. Similarly, Innovation Academy students can enroll for onsite courses at SF during the fall semester before they begin taking classes on the UF campus. In order to enroll for courses at SF as a transient student, prospective students must apply to SF (Be sure to indicate that you are a transient student.) and submit an application through Florida Shines. Your Florida Shines application will be referred automatically to your UF advisor within five business days for approval.

SF and UF Special Partnership Programs
SF and UF maintain two special partnership programs that help students transition to the University of Florida: Gator Engineering and Gator Design and Construction. In order to be admitted into these programs, students must apply to UF as freshmen by Nov. 1. UF will select the pool of applicants who will be invited to participate in Gator Engineering and Gator Design and Construction. Once admitted into these special partnership programs, students will be enrolled at SF and begin taking critical tracking courses. Students who successfully pass these courses will be guaranteed admission into their desired engineering, design or construction major at UF.

        SF2UF Bridge to Baccalaureate
The SF2UF Bridge to Baccalaureate Program is a partnership that seeks to increase the number of minority and underrepresented SF students in the biomedical and behavioral sciences who go on to transfer to UF and graduate with bachelor's degrees in biomedical and behavioral science-related disciplines. A highlight of the program is that selected students will be able to conduct scientific research in the laboratory of a University of Florida professor as undergraduates while enrolled at Santa Fe College.

SF to UF College of Pharmacy
SF has a unique relationship with the UF College of Pharmacy, called Pathway to Pharmacy. Students spend two years at SF satisfying pharmacy prerequisites, meet regularly with advisors from UF's College of Pharmacy, and then apply for admission to the four-year Doctor of Pharmacy program. For more information, contact UF's Deborah Robinson at 352-273-6222 or drobinson@cop.ufl.edu.

        30 Foreign Languages
Santa Fe College offers several foreign languages. However, SF students can also enroll for more than 30 foreign languages at UF on a space available basis. SF students will need to meet their academic advisor to inform them of their intent and submit an application through Florida Shines. Additional information on how to enroll as a transient student at another Florida public college or university can be found here.

        Serve with the UF ROTC
SF students are eligible to join the UF Army ROTC or the UF Air Force ROTC. This includes physical training and participating in a leadership lab at UF before transferring and continuing as an Army or Air Force ROTC cadet.

        Gator Marching Band
SF students are welcome members of the UF Gator Marching Band. As a band member, you will be on the football field in front of 90,000 fans as a Marching Gator. For more information, email UF Bands Director John Watkins at watkins@ufl.edu.

        Athletics and Student Recreation
The University of Florida Athletic Association features Santa Fe College nights, when SF students get special deals on tickets to select UF sporting events. SF students are also eligible participate in UF's Travel and Recreation Program (TRIP) which includes backpacking, surfing, snorkeling and other outdoor adventures. SF student can also participate in Gator Growl, take part in the UF Homecoming parade, and run in the Gator Gallop.

        UF Health Care
SF's Student Health Care Center is a satellite clinic of the UF Student Health Care Center. IF you transfer to UF, you will already be a patient in the UF health care system.

Friend's daughter is doing 2 years at SF and an automatic in to UF as an Education major. It is easy to get admitted to UF from community colleges. UF takes very few Florida seniors out of high school to keep up the 1400/4.4GPA incoming freshman stat and keep its acceptance rate low. UF can keep achieving its top 10 Public college image that way.

Of those, 11,741 were admitted to the fall 2018 semester, and 3,125 were admitted to the Summer B 2018 semester. For fall 2019 it is expected to be less. The number accepted per 100 applicants keeps decreasing mainly because UF is using the coalition application, the population is increasing in Florida, Florida schools are increasing standards, and the Bright Futures scholarships are keeping students in state. It is likely for every 100 who apply for 2020 that only 30 will be accepted (half being from out-of-state), down to a 30% acceptance rate.
How many high schools are in Florida? How many are private?

It is not only how many are accepted to applied, it is also who is applying. Not every college has the same student pool.

State law states that a state college has to accept a certain percentage of students from their regional area. Federal law states that every college has to accept a certain percentage of minorities. With that said, Sante age is still on its own a better college then a lot of the lower tier state universities in Florida. Intelligent students know this.

Pretty common. GT which is arguably one of the best engineering schools in the country has to accept a certain number of Georgia state student even at lower gpa's an scores over out of state students because of funding and and state laws. Most public institutions of merit must deal with this.

Well if they must take in state lower and minority students after two years from community colleges then it is a good idea to have feeder sister community colleges.
