SCP would be a prime takeover club as would Shoreline. Last effort was with Celtic but that fell apart, even GPS are not that desperate. Another candidate could be a disgruntled CFC branch director. GPS will eventually move into Connecticut. That is there model, consume and grow.
Clubs like Academica and PSC Dynamo are on life support.

Are you sure you don’t mean the GPS model is “consume and blow?”

That’s a fair point. GPS model needs a lot of paying customers at the base of their pyramid. There are a lot of weak players and teams. They funnel their better players up the line to create NPL teams. Those tend to be much stronger and very rare compared to their weaker teams.

My colleagues tell me it's the same model that FSA runs.

More in line with CFC model. FSA has the luxury of owning the best facilities in the state, possibly the region. FSA do not funnel players up. They may have a player or two up each year but FSA have clear A, B and C teams. If you get to understand the motivation behind many of the C team families you will find there is no interest or desire to move up the ranks. They are mostly families paying for a decent product with year round stability and high quality facilities. CFC brings in a lot of players from branches all across the state and then try to convince certain ones to go to United program. For many it works and the competition is quality. CFC should be proud that they completed their facility in Bethany. Few others have. However, it’s not even close to FSA facility with little hope of expansion.

Sounds like CFC without as much disparity between top and bottom (and the bottom is low).
