Doca is definitely a poor club. What they do offer is lots of training (large groups) at the younger ages. Their Premier teams are very poor but they always have 1-2 players that are pretty good and usually unhappy. They are also about $800 cheaper than competing Premier programs, so that is another reason they keep numbers up and retain some of the quality players. GPS, as well as other competing clubs, will always be happy to take players of quality. Some clubs will even take players who will write bigger checks.

In the big picture GPS is somewhere below Rush. Far less of a national presence. Rush can claim Lindsay Horan. I dont think GPS can say the same thing.

What are you talking about? In CT the GDAP with never take off. They are not pulling players from FSA or CFC. Oakwood is the wrong club to have the DA for it to be successful.

Oakwood will be fine. Key is to have one team in CT. Others can drive to MA or NY. I think most players who are already at ECNL clubs decided to stay because quality will be strong this year and strong enough next year. Other states and regions are leaving ECNL in droves. As quality diminishes so will supply to FSA and CFC. These clubs will still be ok but they will be average teams playing in an average ECNL. No better than other Regional NPL leagues. Elite players will gravitate to DA.

They are the largest youth organization in the U.S. Rush is second largest. Oakwood will remain strong with DA. FSA and CFC will now have to pivot now that ECNL is losing status nationally. ECNL will likely be another NPL league in next two years.

The Oakwood crowd is out in force today. The GDA isn't working locally.
Whether it does remains to me seen. If your kid is in HS or even 8th grade you'd be far better off in the ECNL. CFC will continue to pile up college placements.

Indeed, the entire " elite " platform , ECNL and GDA, represent a very small percentage of HS age players in the state There are over 4000 , and yet, less than 5 % participate in the " elite" platforms. I guess the potential customers are just not interested in it.

So 1000 or so Seniors, and 100 play in College? Out of 20,000 graduates. Is that a " large number " ?
