That ccsu Coach is such a scam artist. He either recruits international players or players from the CFC branches because he and his coaching staff coach CFC. No wonder they do horrible. One of my co workers kid went to their id camps and said to for him to first join one of their CFV branches if he wants to play for ccsu. How pathetic.

25 players isn’t really that large.
1-13 last year and a 6-0 loss doesn’t mean the team just quits.
It doesn’t make sense. Very odd.

28, 4GK. There are bigger programs but once you start going beyond 24 or so tensions can mount over playing time. It will only be worse if the players don't like or respect the coach. Whatever the cause(s) it has to be pretty bad for an entire team to stage a strike. One thing is for sure it will get the attention of the administration.

There are 25 on the CCSU roster, not 28 just to be clear. Also, what do you know about “tensions mounting after 24 or so”? You arbitrarily made that up. Most rosters are well beyond 24 in D1.

The other thing is that you’ve arbitrarily made up that the team “staged a strike”. Where did you read that, was that published somewhere? I agree that it’s strange to not be able to “field a team”, but a team strike sounds very far fetched. Perhaps there was a last minute transportation issue?

Only thing I can figure is they have some injuries as well as players not cleared by the NCAA along with possible suspensions for a disciplinary issue. These are guesses but when something like this happens, those are usually the culprits.

Possible. 24 man roster, and 16 players were in the box score (played) for the opening game against SH? It’s odd.

"The bus broken down" is not the same as "cannot field a team." The later was what was listed on Rider's website.

They had already played one game a few days earlier, lost 6-0. Once players are cleared by the NCAA they're good to go. School or coach imposed suspensions is possible. Having ten players injured after just one game? Unlikely.

It's not just about a long bus ride after a tough (first) game. Maybe that happens at the end of a brutal season (like last year's) but it's only the beginning of this season. There's something going on.

the CFC guys know what's going on over there, they're just choosing not to comment on this particular post. Truth will come out eventually, until then, everyone will continue to speculate. Here and everywhere else and just make the situation allot worse that it is.
