For many years, Indiana and Kentucky played their class champions in several sports against each other to get to a single champion. But they tossed that out a couple of decades ago too. We all love "Hoosiers". But that story happens like once every 50 years or so. They are kids, let them enjoy their high school titles. I suspect you care more about it than the kids who play do.
Happening more and more in NCAA BB because it has been allowed to. Everyone loves it when David beats Goliath and it doesnt matter if it only happens once every 1000 years .... for the other 999, everyone will be talking about that at every game between a shrimp and a giant.
