Nobody gets mad about the defender who feels slight contact against their back and goes down trying to draw a free kick because they don’t want to get caught in possession. It is all the same. Reffs call soft fouls on attacking players being aggressive toward defenders who go down with light contact. Still a dive. People don’t go postal over it. But when you flip the script and the attackers go down with light contact it is unethical and a stain on the game. Why the double standard? A yellow will only be given in the box for simulation. Same play anywhere else is not even a free kick. It is reffs job to try and interpret what happened. Everyone is trying to manipulate the reff to gain an advantage. Some teams do it very well and gain an advantage. The game within the game. I salute those who have mastered the dark arts.
Its bs anywhere on field by anyone.

Never happens that way .... a defender farts and the forward gets the call .... the forward runs up and plants a shoulder into the centerback and cripples him and never a call. Call it both ways and penalize for flopping when it is apparent .... and it is often apparent.
