Delusional much? They aren't going to change the structure of the national girls developmental academy because the Oregon 03 talent pool is so deep. Honestly...

It is foolish to worry about the lack of college scholarships over past three years. Your goal should be professional soccer.

Hahahahaha- stop with the "pro track" nonsense. The 1 or 2 kids that might make it to the pro level will make it no matter where they play. If you are claiming to be the best path and place to develop top flight players then the "rest" should be getting college offers as a "fall back". Whats your VALID (other than lack of talent) excuse for not putting more into college

Yeah the big bucks. Grab a side job at Walgreens as a cashier/stocker to make ends meet.

Looking at the 01/02 roster, I see a good number of 02's who are quality players - likely permanent starters. When you take the 02's and combine with the 03's, about 10 players will have to go - and I think it's safe to say none of the 02's will be cut. So some of those 03's are giving up their freshman year of HS soccer, and other HS sports and extracurriculars, only to be cut in a year. Probably not much of a risk for the top 10 03's...but the rest are taking a chance.

If you want to play DA then go for it... quit whining about the possibility of not being good enough for next year's pool.

If you want to play HS then don't play DA

Other HS Sports and extracurriculars... you are in the same boat whether you play DA or ECNL.

Maybe OYSA is the best fit for your DD? Playing DA and ECNL is not for everyone. Just quit whining about everything from time to giving up extracurricullars.

Amen! Goes for all age groups and players. No one is forcing anyone to do GDA or Ecnl. Both programs have obvious pros & cons like no HS, more practice times or lots of travel. It's no secret to anyone. Pick the best league for your dd and enjoy.

Finally! This is exciting. Time to really make this happen. I know the timbers will be happy for less driving to Northern California to beat the wits out of weak teams.
Girls Development Academy bringing in quality programs like Eastside Timbers and Clackamas would be a step in the right direction."

                Excellent development.
This would save a lot of long hot sweaty van rides to north cal.

Wrong our local club opted to force our team to play in the us club travel league.

It has been shameful and painful.

Again you picked the wrong team. Should of had your daughter tryout for a TA team and travelto Carlsbad Nights (because they couldn't get into Surf), travel to Players, maybe the Tacoma Showcase, sign up for a few iD camps at UofO and Boise St and then when it is all over you end up at George Fox

You mean the US club league that just happens to be the top league in the country? If your DD can't cut it, maybe she should go play rec at an Alliance club.

Bingo. Many choices and everyone knows what each choice entails. Don't sign up & pay for a choice you don't want. You can even pick a new choice whenever you want.

They are still kids and this is spot on.

in regards to the oldest group, 00/99, the Thorns GDA is the better team when compared to either Oregon ECNL squad.
FCP lost 5 starters to GDA and CU is just not a very good team."
