There is a NCAA dead period for recruiting between Dec 15-Jan 4. Not 100% on exact dates but all the showcase events have been rearranged. No college coaches are allowed to recruit during those dates.

Northeast NPL should hold their own 2 day showcase. Maybe have it run at the same time as the ECNL Composite event. Trying to have it at the same time as the ECNL Florida deal is a bad idea. Trying to get those coaches to leave the ECNL event or extend their trip is tough. Vast majority of NPL kids stay in the NE so having an event locally would draw well.

I agree it should be more regional because most kids do attend schools within a half days drive from home. Making it easier for players and coaches is beneficial. But trying to compete with ECNL is foolish. With GDA now, NPL will be league #3 for shopping. Have an event the same weekend as ECNL and you can all but guarantee only very low level programs show up.

You should hurry and let ECNL boys and girls heads know so they can reschedule their Sanford events then.

The news is about 6 months old. ECNL event pushed to early January.

It's called PDA on Memorial Day weekend. Biggest recruiting event of the year. A few weeks later the NPL and ECNL playoffs begin which are also hugely attended by college staff. Fitting something else in would be very challenging not to mention my coaches have a travel budget.
