Exactly. JFC "claims" to be 'player focused' but when it comes down to it, they are desperate to have a single, winning team. And the egos of those 07 parents. They would rather their kid be playing on a team chasing some fake glory at U14 rather than taking on the challenge of stepping up against stronger competition U15.

If the top 3 JFC 07 SuperTeam players played on the JFC 06 team, they would immediately move from a bottom table team to mid-table team but their 07 team would drop from top of table to mid table. JFC would rather have 1 team to brag on and another krap team that nobody cares about than two mid table teams.

Plus, as noted, have to have coaches daughter playing up on the best team they can manufacture. Only the best for daddy coach's little princess.

The 07 JFC team charade is band aid together to be a SuperTeam to soothe many parents' egos not just parents of few top players. If their best players played up U15, there would be no SuperTEam and the whole house of cards would fall down with knives flying into backs.

How can jfc be considered a superteam? They have not beaten tbu, the fab 5, or wff. Beating img 7-1 does not qualify jfc to be the best 07 team. Beside img does not start recruiting until u15 so all the teams under u14 are not that good.

The superteam moniker was not something dreamed up by the actual JFC team. Rather it’s a name drummed up by those who are miffed by players switching clubs and where that change leaves them. That team calls themself no such thing. That is strictly a pet name from the jealous TS trolls.

Platinum has only had full roster at 2 weekends of club play thanks to COVID.

We can produce top players but we need money, serious kids and parents. Producing top players takes years of development. Generally at 9 is a good age to start the serious training. The years leading up to 9 is all about developing a love for the game and sound fundamental. You don't have to genuiess to see what works and what does not. Weston has only two 2007 players playing up. A goalkeeper that’s on the 2006 team and the forward for the 2005 team. A 2008 player also plays on the 2005 team.
They are all really good players and would make the Weston 2007 team even better.

Our club's 207 team has 13 2008 players and 3 2007. players. Our 2006 team has 16 07 players. Technically the our 06 team is really a 07 team with a 06 goalie. We always lose but hey we are developing against other club that play their players at the right age group.

The fact that I know this team fairly well, and I have no clue who the "Fab 5" are, should tell you that they are not as Fab as you think.... This Saturday should clear some things up.
