Only a couple of new GDA Clubs added for next year

Well it is official, only a few new clubs added and one that is not coming back. So much for the mass exodus and the demise of GDA.

Surprised they aren't adding more clubs on girls' side.

Those are some powerful clubs with a longstanding track record:
        Oklahoma Energy
        Sporting Omaha
        Utah Royals

That’s funny and some very “high standards”

          Burlingame is the flagship club.

It simply adding more mediocre to make more money for the company called us soccer.

GDA is already struggling and they are expanding only to make more money.

Funny how the Utah Club is going to be based out of Phoenix. Some tradition there.

Interesting. NEU is being touted as a "new" club on the boys' side, but no mention of Eastside leaving or BSC being swallowed up by NEU.

Maybe Eastside hasn't told DA yet they are leaving.

With so many elite clubs throughout the nation fighting tooth and claw for entry into the DA last year, this seasonal year having only a few new clubs accepted promises more quality, control & development vs quantity, expense & mediocrity.

It will be interesting to see the US Club efforts to capture more than 'B' teams from Clubs locked and loaded in the DA.

Can't wait for that list of super clubs that add to US CLub league.

                    The needle has been moved.

In 2017, the Girls' Development Academy was launched with a mission to improve the player development landscape and create a pathway for elite female players.

Today, the Academy is comprised of teams across six age groups in the Boys' program:
                      U-12, U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16/17, and U-18/19

and four age groups in the Girls' program:
                      U-14, U-15, U-16/17, and U-18/19.

I thought BSC and NEU were merging to create “United PDX”. Why did they register DA under the name as Northeast United and not United PDX?

The GDA is rocking PCV Union and Burlingame. That's a negative -600 goal differential. Quality competition.

Crossfire Oregon is in 1st or 2nd place in 4 out of the 5 age group.

That should tell you about the quality of the competition in ECNL as well.

I hope they're not trying to have TWO DA teams, though if Eastside is pulling out they might be able to pull that off, if Eastside kids move to NEU to keep the patch.
