That’s coaching and culture not recruiting.

In fairness, nearly identical (less experienced) team made the playoffs two years ago. Missed it by a game last year.
I know for a fact things aren’t rosey in the locker room. They weren’t with the last coach, they aren’t with this coach.

I’d caution against drawing too many conclusions early in the season. Things might look a little different when the season is done.

13 seasons.
Never made a conference championship game.
Never won a regular season title.
Made the playoffs 6 times in 13 years.
Made the playoffs once in the last 5.
88-129-29 overall record.
Even without any complaints, I’d say the school probably made the right choice.

SHU players are all worried about next year already. Knowing the recruits coming in most that are there this year won’t be playing next year. SHU just needs to win 5 league games and with Wagner, Robert Morris, LIU and Mt. St. Mary there are 4 wins 1 more and you are in the conference tourney. It won’t take 4 years for SHU to compete for the NEC title. They will do it with 2019 and 2020 recruits.
