Lotsa spurs love here. What have they done to make you think they've improved their squad, and be worthy of a better finish than last year?

          Spurs finished second last year.

Third is worse than second, no?

LOL ... math was never his strong point.

Spurs stood still this year while others improved. Injuries or poor form could sink the,

My opinion is that United stood still, too. Well, aside from getting rid of Rooney, that was a good move.

Not sure this counts as standing still. Nearly $200 million spent. Just hope Lukaku doesn't get hurt. He's clearly an upgrade over Zlatan. United dodge a bullet with his ACL

Transfers In: Romelu Lukaku (Everton, $100 million), Nemanja Matic ($53 million), Victor Lindelof ($41.4 million).

Transfers Out: Adnan Januzaj (Real Sociedad, $10 million), Wayne Rooney (Everton, Free), Sam Johnstone (Aston Villa, Loan), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Unattached, Free).

                    Lukaku and Matic will underperform.

The only thing that will save United and give them a top-4 finish is if Pogba hits his stride, and there were hints of that in the last half of last season.

Would you rather have an injured Zlatan or Lukaku. Lukaku will score 25 goals and Zlatan 0

                        Zlatan is way more fun.

I am not sure Lukaku in 17/18 is an improvement over Ibra 16/17. Yes, he is better than an injured Zlatan but for now all he does is break them even in terms of what to expect from a #9.

Matic should be a good piece to help get some actual production from Pogba but I am not sold on PP. I like him, enjoyed watching him on juventus, but if he stays flat to last year he has to be considered a huge bust.

MU should be better than last year but they'll have to find a way to balance the PL and UCL schedules, where last year they basically tossed in the towel on PL halfway through the year.

Honestly, given the cost, Pogba is already a bust. Can he turn it around? Doubtful.

Given the ways costs are out of control, I have a hard time using that as a factor. It's all just monopoly money now.
