You can give everyone examples of success of other people but it doesn't have anything to do with you. It's like the last place team who can't win a game (pretty accurate for Oregon Ecnl) saying they are just as good as the best team who they only play once.
My kid played socal blues last year, does that mean my kid is as good as or gets what socal blues kids get? Because we played them?
You literally proved my point. You keep acting like the gullible money giver you are. Just put on your kids colledge resume information about teams and players she never played...see how that works for you. Meanwhile keep paying that money to be underdeveloped and replaced.

1. Overload the rosters to keep costs down. Yeah that means kids aren't even playing or traveling. Don't say a word because not only are the kids who are playing having to split time but if you do you won't go. How's your 10k look now?
2. Keep the same coaches who don't develop worth a damn. Shhhh it's ok no one will notice.
3. Never mind the teams already cant even beat a team 10 miles from them, let's have them play a team 5 hours away...well not all the kids..see #1
4. The teams they play are either extremely bad like them or good (any team can go to a tournament to play a good team). But regardless their coach brings in guest players that don't train with the team and just take time away simply because the coach needs to get wins. That doesn't include #1
5. Colleges!! Well you will find the same clubs around the country continue to put kids into college just like they have before. You will also find the same local kids are going to the same local schools regardless of the money they spent. Every year 4-5 kids go somewhere like AZ or somewhere else but that number hasn't changed but they are paying more and actually achieving the same or less. Showcases are a dime a dozen and Ecnl ones aren't any better and actually worse considering the demographic of where kids in Oregon go to college. The offers are coming from coaches who don't even go to their showcases or never needed to in the first place. You spend more, develop less and risk more.
6. You come to find out that the parent group you are with is anxious and gullible. They were sold on this because the coach referenced some team from somewhere that was good so that means this team is good because they play them once a year or not at all. You also come to find out that that same coach is trying to recruit like crazy even though they are saying your kid is going to get developed.
7. Parents are finding out their kids team isn't as good as they were sold on and now realize if they don't get the good players from the other clubs their team will continue to fly 5 hours to be a doormat or play mediocre teams. So not only are the worried they have to recruit the kids they continue to talk trash about. Yes the fc portland parent who singled out players on here. That's a nasty parent group by the way.
8. Notice the younger teams that aren't fooling anyone anymore and no one is joining. They are mediocre and probably will end up being worse because of the above.
9. Don't fall for the onyx blast from parents saying cu team got x amount of kids into college. Those kids were going anyway and didn't need to spend 10k a year to go to psu to get 2k a year to play. It's a joke. They were good before all of it and didn't need to go through the Circus and many under achieved.
10. Wise up. Thorns academy may end up being rediculous but don't even think that Ecnl Oregon is anything more then smoke and mirrors run by bait and recruit clubs.
Prettt accurate for this website. Bet on an Ecnl Oregon parent or coach saying it's outright lies but will then instead attack your kid... I'll bet you that happens. They try to sell lies to get your kid but when they find out you are smarter then they are, they will attack your kid.

Ecnl & Thorns Academy are just two different sides of the same coin, except that Ecnl gets to play in a much better league. Both have pros & cons. Same with regular club soccer. Why all the hatred? Pick the one that suits your player & family and be happy. Who care if others pick a different choice?

Hard to say now what the better league will be. Time will tell. For boys DA is the better league.

It's not parents of boys that are on here bashing Ecnl or Thorns Academy. There is virtually no pro path for girls. College is the goal for most girls, unless your dd is the one to make a USNT once every 20-30 years. Oregon girls soccer is such that a handful will go to decent D1 programs each year & the rest will end up scattered around & mostly local. This has always been the case & will always be the case. Ecnl, Thorns Academy/GDA, good club team all work just fine with very little difference for Oregon girls. Pick the one that works the best for your kid and enjoy. Quit bashing the other paths that appeal to others.

Lies lies and more lies. The lies they tell don't even make sense but they sure try. Says a lot when they resort to this.
They are getting desperate

My boy went to the basketball shootout in Vegas 4 years ago, all the players taken in the first round of NBA draft in 2016 attended this showcase, we are happy with our decision to attend as well.
It's fun to pay to travel and watch future pros at an event. I wish my kid wasn't on one of the 684 teams at the event, otherwise I could of watched the NBA players more.
Trade-offs I guess.
