CT Rush Directors Leave - Clubs falling apart

CT Rush looks like it’s falling apart as their Wilton Director left and their Watertown Director also left. I heard their owner is selling the club also.....

There's nothing left to take over. Wilton was their only decent branch and it's falling apart the fastest. They have no assets, best staff is fleeing the sinking ship, so what is OW taking over? Plus Rush is supposedly a national franchise - OW has its own identity. If they wanted to set up their own OW branches they could do so on their own. Supposedly they've looked into FC multiple times and always decided against it.

That’s too bad, as the Elite teams were becoming very competitive. I guess more kids schlepping to Bethany.

A lot of these clubs are very good options for younger players up to U14. Rush and Ginga are probably two of the best at these ages. Unfortunately, once the top players who have goals of playing in college realize that you need to be in the top leagues for exposure then the teams fall apart and players move on to ECNL and DA.

It's too bad. Rush and Ginga were making some progress in CT but losing their top players at the older ages each year makes their older teams a dead end.

Clearly a joke, OW not going to get involved in that. The Wilton branch has always been the cornerstone of this club. They are strong at the young ages but have never been able to maintain teams at the HS ages. The Watertown branch has hit the skids and are virtually done. The Guilford Branch is average but will probably grow by default. Clubs in their area are falling apart. They have been around about 5-6 years. Let’s see if they can manage their affairs. Right now it’s not looking good.

What does this mean? Are you saying that the two DOC’s that are leaving are non entities? That is pretty harsh. Also pretty incompetent if the people you entrust to run your program are considered non entities. What does “alive in and well mean”? AC Connecticut rolled CFC and will now do the same to Rush in this part of the state. AC Connecticut has positioned themselves nicely.

Is this the goal of development in soccer? train the players to reach the next level. Kudos to Rush and Ginga if their best players are then moving on to ECNL and DA.

Club continues to grow and is very successful. Don't worry about this club and stop spreading TS rumors.

Prince leaving is definitely a hit to RUSH in that area, great coach and respected by the players and parents as well as his peers. Surely kids will follow wherever he ends up
