Anybody know what’s up with opfc? Their newly appointed (May) 05 coach was just announced as my sons u13 timbers academy coach....

Were I OPFC, I'd be more annoyed if one of their staff coaches moved mid-season to a competing youth club. But the proper response in this case is "congratulations!".
(And spare me the crocodile tears about leaving mid-season, what about the kids, etc.. It's employment at will; OPFC could fire him at any time. Replacing coaches who leave, for whatever reason, is part of running a soccer club.)

Clubs are Always trying to cover their tracks to keep their money coming in.
Maybe this guy wants the challenge of having all eyes on him coach a new team that everyone hates and is jealous of. Much better gig than a local club for spoiled white kids
