Its easy all ecnl teams are new in 08 age group and what better way to get money
Instead of pulling from their existing player pool? Kind of strange.
Offer all new kids ecnl and tell them its the top league etc etc.
Well that's what NEFC did. Not many former NEFC player went ECNL mostly ex gps kids for 07 and 08.

For the next 200 they should be playing each other, locally, to learn the transition from small sided to 11v11 and grow into their bodies. Then they will play, and probably be stars, in high school soccer and then they will go off to college and live normal lives.
At any one age group Bolts have a few kids that could play in the Revs setup eventually (not on the first team, and only because the Revs have the worst academy in the league). They are struggling to put talent around those kids at the RDL/MLS Next level and certainly don't have 18 MORE kids that need to drive hours or fly in planes to find competition.
If you took every boy in the entire state in a given age group and put them all on one team (they should - god the Revs are a joke), they STILL wouldn't be competitive with the top clubs in the country, let alone abroad.
I don't blame Bolts for running out ECNL teams, I blame the parents for falling for and the overall club structure for failing to provide a competitive regional league.

It's totally fine that the Revs want to be the hub of a league (RDL/MLS Next) that allows them to pluck the best few kids in New England each year. Driving two hours each way for a game is not that big a deal. Go back to local town travel if you dont like it. That FSA 08 team must be legit. A lot changes between 7th grade and sophomore/junior year...

Travel expenses for NE boys clubs could be an additional $3k+ a year? For what lousy competition
Look at the boys schedule MA teams historically have lost almost every game and maybe 1 or 2 strong teams in the league?
Also MA ECNL teams can't beat regional teams in their own club. Ridiculous If you've been sold this is a bette league. Facts show otherwise!

Star U13 ECNL -25 goals against in 3 games. How is this enjoyable for players? Put them in the correct regional league for goodness sakes...ECNL boys is a FRAUD
U13 and 14 same results I don't think the u14 Stars boys have ever won a single ECNL game and Bolts aren't that far behind.
Other teams in that league also loosing by 6 -7 goals so they aren't strong either. Looks like 1 or 2 teams are good or winning?
