This is America and a profit motive is not a bad thing.
I like the Timbers. I go to games and buy tickets beer and food. I don't care if they make money.

So, has there been any announcement on the fall season? Heard nothing from the coach, nothing at OYSA's website, nothing here.

The PTT/OYSA Leagues for kiddos aged U14 and younger officially cancelled for 'fall' outdoor play along with all Fall Cup competition. An outside of the norm U15 to U19 PTTL 'Fall' is on the table it's in TBA status since many clubs still just don't have fields to host games in Phase 1 counties at this time.Maybe this new HS league creation will be a late, late fall early winter league? Some direction is better than none at this point. They held on to long to make this decision.

Thanks to the second rate clubs that don’t own or have field access. Round of applause for you jokes.

                    Dreaming again.

The OSAA HS (Fall/Winter) Season 1 is underway through Dec 27 for all permitted sports, including Soccer.

The OSAA Boy/Girls HS traditional fall Season starts in Late February and ends early May.

October 17 date was thrown out by OYSA as a potential start date in the hopes they could squeeze a mini season in for the interested Club HS aged teams before Thanksgiving weekend. The catch is you must bring your own field or have parents willing to rent times at neutral venues for an extra cost above the league fee. Yes, it's sticky but could work if having to pay more isn't just a another layer added that drives clubs to say no thanks and opt for friendlies and scrimmages.

High School Season was moved to March and April although they can train now. I don't know of anyone training.

Actually all OSAA HS Soccer Teams are good to go and are allowed to both train & compete during season 1 (Aug 31 to Dec 27) regardless if school is in person or distance learning since it's a minimal contact sport. HS teams can play up to 10 games in season 1....as well as 10 games in season 3 feb to may (traditional season).

Local schools decide if their teams are training & playing games, to your point very few are up and going in the metro area.

But other areas of the state HS teams are playing each other currently.

Showcases are tough due to occupancy rules in Phase 1 counties.

A 'fall' HS club season is really tough since public schools are not opening fields period until in person learning.

If the proposed club 6 game mini season happens for HS aged teams which is still up in the air, it will indeed overlap with the current OSAA Season 1, a 10 game season that started Aug 31 and ends Dec 27.

At this time out of state travel to play soccer in Oregon is not permitted. If travel is allowed it's not reallyappealing to be forced to play in mask when your home state says no needed to play in mask.

Oregon Showcases Going on? Seriously what's going on in your skull?

Currently no HS games going on, no overlap. OSAA season will be spring. Tons of showcases going. Some Oregon team have already gone. Many other sports currently traveling to.

                              Sorry, get in the game.
