No Fields for FC Prime in Broward

If it is a fact, why would they advertise it before they had an alternative field? It is reasonable to me that nothing has been formally confirmed or denied at this point.

The only thing confirmed is that FC Prime will not be at CBRP. Alan pulled out his bid for the fields because he had no chance of winning. Ask him yourself and I bet he will tell you the truth.

Fields are the least of the worries at Prime. It's a mess. These people have no clue about the ECNL and how to run our teams, which is scary because AH was in the ECNL for a short time. TT is nice, but struggles and doesn’t seem to be committed to the teams and is really awkward, which I attribute to lacking confidence….and for good reason. We came from GDA, so we have an idea of how things should be. Weston knows what they are doing in terms of managing teams, but the problem is they don't really care about the girl’s program, and have GDA because they can. GDA at Weston was an afterthought. The boys are top dog and that is understandable. Weston and Prime want just want your payment and they know you don't have a choice. Prime care more about trying to build a brand and the players are secondary. We hear that they want to make their territory more towards Coral Springs, Parkland and Boca Raton, which makes sense. The demand has to be there in those communities, but people further south don’t want to drive to those areas for an inferior product. The landscape of soccer right now is a mess. Life was simple before these leagues popped up.

I don’t have a problem with National level leagues. I do have a problem with NONE of the S FL clubs being able to navigate through these leagues. Prime, SFFA and Weston are a joke! These leagues have hurt individual teams and players playing within these crap clubs. Sunrise might be the last of the quality group of 01-99’s that could play at a national level with NOTHING else coming down the pike. Sunrise are a mess too but that group of players were good and Sunrise moved the players on to college. Weston and Prime are shocking in our area and function at a lower level than that of the USYS clubs. The bigger problem is being a joke
in ECNL and GDA. Gotta continue clearing out the coaching staff at Weston GDA and start something worth showing up for.....IDIOT.

But since it did not meet basic qualifications, other clubs were awarded. Sucks to be Sunrise and living in the past wont help that club. The South Florida clubs are enjoying similar results as the Orlando Tampa and Jax teams. The smarter the parents become, the better these teams will be here in South Florida. They will realize where the better kids will need to play.

The bottom line is that parents who put kids in expensive travel programs are doing so based upon the belief that this will advance their kid's "soccer careers" and maybe get them a scholarship. These parents are like any fast talking entrepreneur - they are look for shortcuts to success. Here's an idea if you want your kid to get into a good school and get a scholarship - HIT THE GODDAM BOOKS AND TURN OFF THE CELL PHONE! Is your kid taking as many AP classes as they can? If they are in their junior year are they taking AP calculus and Physics? Why not? Parents need to stop taking something that is supposed to be fun and recreational and are turning it into a job for the kid, with all the bad stuff that goes along with it. Get real about your kid's soccer career and what really makes for success in life!

Now they are going to have to move to north Broward or Boca and start the process again with all new players. Such a joke. So yes, compared to Prime, sunrise is a better club. We can debate all we want but everyone knows for girls soccer, sunrise and Weston are the best in south Florida. Based on college results, it is sunrise but I see these clubs as the two best for girls. Really not debatable. And now that they have teamed up, combined there is no alternative if your girl is any good. Maybe when the mls club is created, we will have a viable alternative.

Your whole argument is based on

1) a rumor of fields changing on TS
2) that they will move farther north
3) they will have to “start all over with new girls”

Some or none of the above may be true. Time will tell. Until then your argument is pretty debatable.
