Lot of snake oil salesmen in the youth soccer business, but Select might be the worst of the worst.

Go dig up that “Why is Everyone Leaving Select” thread that has about 1,000 replies if you really want to know what you are in for.

Being part of a team and knowing your team seems like a huge part of girl's youth soccer.
Much better options on the south shore that were not there 3-4 years ago. NEFC, Scorpions, GPS & Seacoast all worth a look depending upon where you live and what level your daughter plays at.

Worst is right....we did one season and left... they badmouthed a family who left to the kids and say terrible things in classroom sessions. LL is just a bad apple.

Does Liz still call out the kids in front of their teammates as to who is “least committed”?

It was only a matter of time for a team that is performing well to be attacked on these threads. What a transparent lead in..."they train in large groups...is this normal?" The club produces, clearly. Halt the hate train.

We watched a u10 select vs NEFC game a couple weeks ago. And couldn't look away as the NEFC coach was screaming ash the players and making them do pushups mid game in the middle of the field. SSS is money hungry, NEFC seems abusive. What are the good options on the south shore????

😂 nice deflection, Liz. Select has some good players which no one is disputing. The treatment of the kids and the constant lying and bullying are the issues. No one is hating on success. Maybe at success coming in riding a small group of kids to play in multiple games at the expense of rostered players. Keep posting. Word is you don’t coach anymore so you have plenty of time.

Not as many as six months ago. DA caused a significant exodus of top end players. More coming when the 06 & 07 players get towards their freshman year.

Where are the players going when they leave Select? Serious question?

Older kids who don’t want DA left for ECNL, Scorpions mostly. Younger NEP level kids we know have gone to NEFC, Mass City (Seacoast) & GPS.

Galway. At least some young ones did.

Training as one huge group is not the norm for our club. Occasionally teams will scrimmage in practice but that is rare. Occasionally one coach will work with two teams if one of the coaches is traveling.

Can't help with south shore options.

I wouldn't panic this early in the season. I felt the same way our first season with our club. I kept asking "do you know your teammates' names?" Answer was nope, no thought to team building until later in the season when it didn't matter. It's unfortunate but it is what it is. After a couple years with the club everyone knows everyone and it's no biggie.
