They have a long way to go to compete with municipally funded sports complexes like the one out in the Indianapolis area that the NPL finals were at last year. They had dozens of fields not just 2 and they were still building.

Build it and they will come.... specialized youth sports is a big business and there is no doubt they will be able to max out the rental space in that facility

Good luck with that. You'd be better off building a storage facility for those who foreclosing on their homes

Add in the fact that they are building a retail complex and hotel, and it immediately becomes a major regional sports destination for meets and tournaments.
Its not as if Lancaster is the hub of the state either.

The big question is what club will make it a home base? Are there any big clubs in that area or will a small club try to expand?

Are those clubs big on the boys side? I don't think they field teams at all ages on the girls side. Maybe Bayside will move North?

I'm sure they'll get business from many clubs in the area, especially for indoor training. Explosion, Nova, Bruno, NEFC, Tidal Wave, Lusitana, GPS, Bayside United, CSP, are all close enough to utilize this facility for indoor training, and possibly use for home games. I can definitely see Explosion making this their home base. Lots of local travel teams too.
Then there will be the tournaments that will utilize their fields. This place will not suffer for business, unless they outrageously overprice themselves. If not, they will definitely pull some biz from Taunton Forekicks and WWIS North In Rhode Island.
