Your center forward, your midfield and your backs? Come on GPS was missing a few too. I guess your lucky they had! Truth is it doesn't really matter because the state of competition in mass at that age group is dismal at best! After # 1 it's a joke. And think of how you did at regionals last year. That's the real proof that USYSA IS JUST AS WEAK UNTIL your at Nationals with the Natuonal leagues teams. Those top 6 teams are quality.

GPS were the better side when they met in the Thanksgiving Showcase, hands down.

But I know there are 12-13 players that have been at Abbey since U11.

You can't say that about the GPS team, plus they have a much bigger pool to choose from to build their NPL team. There isn't really a comparison to be made here. One club has a huge amount of resources and can bring in countless new players every year if need be and the other club is only now growing their footprint out of metrowest. The expectation should have been that GPS win the game and they did so.

Almost the entire u16 bolts dap team were on DCs scorpions team last year, and gps beat scorpions 4 out of the 5 times they played each other. i would take gps 16s this year over dcs bolts dap team.

Disney tourney we couldn't score goals

Real simple the guys who have been able to score goals the past few years are not progressing like they should be or want to be! When stronger defenders are putting pressure on the kids up top they are not technically sound! Speed only goes so far. They scored 1 real goal in Disney a few own goals and a goal from a center back. No scoring no championship in Disney. Also you would think coach would go with the best players and not sub 8 kids in a game at that level. Lesson learned I hope.

MH is a coach who likes big, fast players ( following in the footsteps of PB) . Well at U16/U17 big and fast is not as much of a factor anymore as kids who were developed based on their technicals and field awareness catch up.
