Not a Valeo parent, but I was there. Several Valeo boys are amazing players. In a class of their own.

They would be crazy to choose Seacoast over Revs. Why would they?

Played against them (Seacoast) over 3 years in Epping. Their fences that go just far enough down to ALLOW A SOCCER BALL TO ROLL THROUGH ARE A RUNNING JOKE among parents.

Symbolic of an organization that perhaps is in over their head in (academy) soccer. Their teams certainly play that way.

I can confirm Valeo has practiced some with Seacoast. Not sure of the levels/ages, etc.

GPS & Seacoast weren't in 'merger' mode, just some cross-training/collaboration discussions but sounds like egos got in the way.

The 02s and 01s have a harder path. They need to place into the U15/16 bucket with an existing 28 squad of 02s and 01s. But getting into an existing squad of the Revs 02 01s would be near impossible.

Staying together for the teammates and coaches provides benefits and confidence.

I don't really care about the fence / ball situation, but I will say their turf could use an update. Some fields (only played on two) feel like cement covered over with a thin layer of carpet. Maybe some of the other ones are better, I'm not sure.
