I thought this thread was about coastal getting into NEP? what does that have to do with CSU? Just curious

It is only relevant because those are the two biggest clubs on the south shore serving Plymouth county and CSU is a part of NEP. I think one can draw enough information from that to see where comparisons would be made and where they would seem informative.

        CSU is overmatched in NEP.

with regards to numbers, there is no other club big enough to compete with coastal for that area. CSU will be booted out because they do not have enough teams. Not enough teams translates to not enough money coming into the NEP.

Regardless of the feelings to PT, it always comes down to money.

Now I'm not saying the NEP won't kick a club out of their league, however, CSU won't get get pushed from the league because of number of teams. They have more teams in the league than 3 other member clubs. They also have a handful of teams competing in the league run NPL leagues. If they were to get kicked out it would have to be for not following league guidelines or procedures.

Never going to happen. NEP has the luxury of cherry picking the decent teams.

NEP has been turning down requests from new club for the past 3 years. Valeo, Coastal, Abbey Villa and many others have tried to get in. The train is already full, those clubs were left behind

Coastal has over 50 teams this past fall season. They have been growing steady over the past few years. The NEP will not turn them away much longer, money talks.

There are three clubs that do not meet the criteria to stay in the NEP. They have been informed that if they do not correct the situation, they are in jeopardy of losing their affiliation with the NEP.

                            Which clubs would those be?

Coastal is stuck where they are. Now that other clubs have been appointed DAP teams at U12 you'll see interest in Coastal at younger ages dwindle. Coastal is a great alternative to town soccer. Know your role Coastal.

They have more full time staff on the south shore than anyone in the area. They have done nothing but grow over the last 3 years. With the exception of Nefc and select (who steadily grow every year), what other club has made the jump from 22 teams to over 50 in a two year span?

                              Look at the numbers?

Knowing nothing about coastal-and not saying anything about them here--just a theory here but I think quantily doesn't necessarily have to mean good quality. Increase in number of teams could mean there are more kids in the area looking for more soccer, it could mean one club prices are considerably lower than the other options, it could mean a clubs selection policy isn't stringent, it could mean alot of things.
