If only those two? OW. Better price value and better Ulittle training. But he's very young and you may want to stay with town soccer (unless it's horrifically bad) and supplement with programs at OW or others. It gives you a chance to check out the club more closely and see how serious he is about it before sinking bigger $ into it.

Both are good, FSA is actually a better value up until about U13.

It is their HS girls teams (ECNL included) that do not practice 3x per week ..... and they charge the most absurd amount of money!

And that's for the teams in the most competitive league in the country. Makes sense right - practice less but play tougher competition and pay more for the privilege?

And back to young boys - is the coaching better at one over the other? Better to be at oakwood than second team at FSA?

Oakwood's prices and package info is on their website. Is FSA's? If yes, I'd love to compare the 2. No way FSA's value is that of Oakwood's.

Who cares? Neither are developing. OW has more turnover on the boys side than they do on the girls side.

Never do a B team if you can avoid it (ok for first year premier players). FSA Elite or OW are both good boys programs for little kids. They will play with and against other strong players and coaching is good.

Keep your head in that kool-aid. It's actually been cheaper historically up until U12 or so. Plus, OW just dramatically increased their fees. OW still seems to be a much better value at U13 and up where FSA goes well above $3k.

US Soccer saving the world and bringing you cheaper soccer ..... looks like the boys side academy players (and the girls too) now have to bear the brunt of the cost increases:
