What happened to MO, no longer listed as a coach on AFC website?

They are robbing your money and not giving the appropriate training that your kid should have. AFC is big on scamming all, by getting your money with little in return. Reason why they switch their uniforms every two years.
Because you decided it should be that way? If families and players are happy, kids are learning, developing a love of the game? All good in my book. Not everybody can or even wants to play at a higher level. How can we develop a soccer culture if you dictate what people should be doing. Not everybody plays at a pro Academy abroad yet other countries have incredible soccer cultures.

And if a club doesn't deliver on what people are looking for they go elsewhere. Free market.

That is absurd you are making way to much sense to be posting that garbage on TS. Please follow protocol and spew jibberish out your hole next time. I can't take more of this common sense post

Premier should be 3 practices a week? If you are on a ECNL team or Academy team that's true. My kid was on a NPL team and they didn't practice three times a week. Academica did offer a extra day of practice in the spring for six weeks. They should work harder however on making up rain days. Uniform issue is standard for any club. AFC trains well and has solid coaches. It costs 1800-1900 versus 3000 at FSA? Some excellent players come out of AFC. Very true however that not anywhere close to the amount coming out of the big three clubs. They don't have nearly as many kids either though. If your kid was committed to working hard enough outside of premier this club would provide enough of a platform for them to go on to the college level and be successful. Scamming people? Sounds like a disgruntled parent.

been there for years and they've never been good about doing weather-related makeup dates. it's a nice smaller club, but they need to step up thier program in general to keep up with the Joneses in the region.

They can't offer the platform because they're not in one. Now with boys ECNL and GDA it will be harder and harder to get noticed by coaches if you're not in a competitive league. There's exceptions of course, but it's increasingly difficult

When ODP was viable, it was very easy to keep it local at a small club like this and get some decent college exposure. With the GDA coming online everything changes.

Spend 15 minutes on google looking at college rosters. Not easy to make the jump from small premier. Its can be done but typically its the Unicorns.

Small/lowest level D1 and even less competitive D3s is about it. A little easier for girls than boys because there's more programs/spots. Tough to be seen by coaches when a club like that isn't going to decent showcases. Nothing wrong with clubs like AFC - a place to play at a lower price for players that want that level - but better players won't stay long.

landed at FSA, that's AFC's loss and their gain.

Boys DOC at a small club to C team coach at FSA is a peculiar move at best.

Not if you're worried the club might not survive and/or you think there's opportunities to move up at a big club.

                                Not at FSA
