When the organization is being run by fu*king retards, you get crap results. With rare exception do you find anyone remotely competent within youth soccer. What you do find are burnt out adults that hold a minimal job. They usually have a history of personal and financial problems, plus an inability to communicate. Soccer skills are decent.

What are you expecting when this is the reality?

Youth soccer has proved to be a very successful business model . To be honest this isn't there fault . Parents are prepared to pay and youth sport has evolved to meet that demand . Now that big business is taking over it's important that they eliminate the smaller competition . Best way to do that is to deny access to leagues .US Club soccer is a good vehicle for such a move .in the end small clubs get swallowed up by big clubs and new revenue is achieved .

For a bunch of retards they sure seem to have figured out how to make a lot of money . I'm from WFF from what I can see they have to be generating at least a couple of million a year .

It is the ideal business model for retards. Scoop them up around 10-11 years old. Promise them all kinds of glory. Hike the fees and get the parents to sign contracts. Consistent money for at least 5 years, plus maybe a few extra after that. When those kids quit or move on, there is a new set of young players ready to join. There is no need for FYSA or any other club to "improve." They get a a new set of unknowing players/parents every year. By the time a player/parent discovers the promises were crap, the player is in high school. Maybe 2-3 years left to play club. Without any choices, the parent must accept their crap club. They have also become accustomed to the idiocy of the retarded management. No reason to get upset anymore, because little Mia or little Donovan only has 1-2 years left.

Club only has to repeat this cycle to keep making money. The key is having a large rec league that can always feed the travel club.

And as the smaller clubs disappear there will fewer choices and the opportunity will be their to raise prices or more likely add lots of additional fees . Bit like banks and phone companies .
Gotta take your hat off to the WFF and TBUs of the world just an excellent business plan .

I wouldn't put "WFF" and "an excellent business plan" in the same sentence. Have you looked at that club lately?

We did FPL last year and FSPL. It was ok but teams kept rescheduling games and it go to be a bit of a PIA. In the end, we did not get to play a final game so I can't say was great experience but not a bad one either.

FPL was an independent league sanctioned by US Club soccer same as USA or CDL are leagues sanctioned by FYSA . Looking at the number of games and the lopsided results it's easy to see why this league will not return .

Business is about making money in that respect they seem to be doing pretty well .
Youth soccer reminds me of the us airline industry treat customers like crap because in the end if you want to fly or play soccer you got a very limited choice .

DOC says that bottom line is the FYSA knew this was going to be a problem prior to the application deadline and did not advise the clubs for fear that they would go elsewhere. Our DOC also indicated in an e-mail that efforts by FYSA to recruit new clubs to the league have failed, but FYSA won't publicly admit it.
So did the FYSA notify your club (and all clubs that applied) that they may not have a FSPL league this year?

WFF is dwindling down to a relatively small number of teams. May not be financially viable in a few years.

It's not far fetched that in a few years it could be down to 4-5 super clubs sprinkled around the state; Jax, Tampa, Orlando, South Florida and then a handful of regional clubs.

No, we heard it from our DOC based upon a conversation he participated in with FYSA officials. No formal notice was sent and the DOC's take on it is that they are avoiding sending that type of notice out intentionally. The DOC's discussion with parents in the age group was along the lines of, "FYSA does not want to makes this official yet but . . . " the upshot was that we probably won't have a league for our age group, the DOC has no suggestions, and *** do we do now? Basically trying to get the parents ready to find another league or another club. FYSA has really screwed the players on this one.
