Their tryouts are in June - starting next week. Numbers today aren't bad but not enough to fully fill out each age group, growing each year though. They're increasing due to the clinics they have throughout the winter and spring picking up players. Is the program perfect - no, but it's an alternative to Southeast, and forced Southeast to up their game with training programs - i.e. GK training, etc., Right now word of mouth advertising is their friend, as people that missed the Southeast train at ulittles now have a place to play locally.

Doca is really not an alternative to Southeast. Alternative implies that people are choosing them over Southeast and that is just false. The kids playing at Doca are the kids that can't make a Southeast roster. Doca picks up SSC's sloppy seconds. SSC is, by far, the dominant club in this part of CT and into RI. They have the best coaches as well.

Doca numbers are good but quality is poor. Unfortunately having good numbers will encourage Doca to continue for awhile. It would be good for them if they could operate in the town Comp program. They would do well there. Southeast will continue its dominance in this part of the state.

So, the club has no right to exist because the rostered players don't meet your standards?
Isn't the point of it all to help the kids get better?
Are you saying that the club leadership is making no effort to help improve their players?

Soccer by its nature is a pyramid. It ends at some point for everyone on the pyramid. For the very very few it's as a professional. For others that's college. For most it's high school.
