I thought GDA rules said minimum four trainings a week? Did they cancel that because of poor turn out?

Sheer numbers at try outs means nothing. As long as enough turn out to field a team it will be ok.

thorns hope for a lot of turnout for tryouts to make money. That's why they charge $175. That is probably why the disappointment at the low numbers. Hurts the profit margins.

As long as they get enough girls out to form teams that is all that is important.

They need to raise money so they need people to try out. Makes it hard.

And that is all that matters. Cut them some slack. These are just kids. Let them play and have fun without criticizing them all the time. Is the program great? No. But it’s good enough. They have uniforms and soccer balls. That’s all you need and find a patch of grass somewhere.

You people that judge are jerks. Let the kids be. As long as they are having fun.

The thorns program is cheaper than other options so you can’t really complain.

The California teams in GDA are super bad. The two bottom of league teams are California and they have scored 3 goals and conceded 96 combined.

Burlingame 13 goals scored 138 allowed.
PSV Union Academy 16 goals scored 114 allowed.

and on the flip side, Thorns plays the best teams in Washington State. Can't deny that Crossfire and Reign GDA teams are strong. Keep in mind, there's a give and take here between GDA and ECNL. Just be thankful you're getting competitive games at least 70% of the time and there's repetitive exposure to college scouts with either program.

About the same level as Thornz Asylum then.

Thornz Asylum was getting competitive games in OYSA. GDA is a joke.

252 goals conceded in a month? I’m not even sure how that’s humanly possible.

Keep in mind the DA only accepted the best clubs in the country and those clubs have the best players. However, if you want to play in college there is an alternate path
