After a certain age, around u15-u16, its more important for the players to be seen and scouted than to win a meaningless trophy.

Most high end showcases have 3 games only.
The team with the highest points after the 3 games becomes the champion.
Second finalist etc.
Points are awarded accordingly.
This system is better than having 2 games on the final day when all kids are exhausted.
This is why the Disney Showcase is now antiquated with its 4 games.
It's just too much.

For Younger players trophies are part of their learning. USA Is trying to kill soccer. First no heading than no championship games. Unbelievable!
