Nope, girls aren;t the only ones with NPL. Boys have ECNL, Northeast NPL (ECNL Counterpart) and NEP NPL .... as well as any branch teams that can continue.

Probably have to have half a heartbeat too, but with 2 NPL teams to field per age group, i bet they likely are taking anyone with just a check ..... can you imagine what will be left for their branch teams after half of those hot messes are moving to NPL levels?

CFC and FSA both added several players from DA teams. Looks like the boys will be catching up to non MLS DA clubs sooner than later. Once the DA separates the present DA into 2 groups the MLS and non MLS leagues local DA clubs will be in trouble

I know there's talk of a separation but there's obvious logistical (travel) issues in doing so. If it does ever happen then yes there's less to distinguish non MLS DA from boys ECNL. The quality gap will close and with that the HS vs non HS issue (is it worth giving up for a similar environment, both of which are still pay to play?). If it doesn't happen then much hinges on how boys ECNL does. If it delivers on a national platform for college recruiting like it does on the girls side? Then it still will attract some players who would have gone to DA in years past. Top players, and especially any talented to make an MLS team, will stay. Mid to lower level players will have choices. That leaves question marks for OW and BS - CT just isn't that big and there's only so much talent to go around.
