Nigerian bankers got nothing on these coaches.

Let's enjoy this this as long as we can, we aren't buying and those that are aren't complaining. It's awesome.
Biggest robbery is that multiple coaches are making well over $100k per year at these two ECNL clubs.

Telemarketers and these clowns know how to get your cash. Not till the scam is over do you feel the pain. Ignorance is bliss.

lol please provide evidence. In youth sports it's the owners who make bank, not the coaches, and that's true at every level, every sport.

No insecurity bro. All I care about is what's best for my kid, no the patch on her jersey. That means best coaching, best fit, best teammates and competition for her. Everyone's options vary by location

It's true. There were some kids from a specific Ecnl team that were going to leave but found out they couldnt get spots on a certain OYSA A team this year..

The truth is a much different story then what you are told by cu and fc coaches.
What do you call the players on Thornz Asylum then - "C" and "D" teamers? Every girl on Thornz was either cut from ECNL or didn't even try as they knew they couldn't make it in the top league in the country. There are starters on Thornz that were riding the pine on "B" teams at FCP and CU. Juts the facts.

Perfect description of the Thornz Asylum. And "ignorant" is a compliment for the Timbers lemmings and cavemen.

Don't hijack someone else's input. ECNL are both insecure and unoriginal.

Says the Timbers caveman who has never had an original thought of his own. Still kneeling down in front of Gavin and the Peregrine overlords I see.

Sweet comeback. Is a knuckle-dragger the same as a caveman? I picture you having a receding hairline and a mono-brow. Do you have a giant phone so you don't fat finger all of your posts or do you just copy/paste lemming/caveman and go from there?

ECNL parents as well as any parents that spend thousands of dollars on soccer or any sport where they hope that their daughter will be viewed as unique, get their feathers ruffled when a competitor makes them closer to ordinary. In this case GDA offers a good opportunity to get similar exposure, more training, better facilities, at a discounted price. While the arguments against the GDA are flimsy, they are also easily dispelled by a tiny bit of research. First, ECNL honks (parents/coaches/admins posting in here) want to argue that GDA promotes the pro path rather than the college path. The truth is that GDA college D1 commits outpaced the most recent ECNL commits and when you look at the lists in totality, you will see that overall there were more D1/D2/D3/NAIA GDA commits than either ECNL team (most recent 7th GDA player committed to UofP). Once this fact is established, the argument then shifts to the quality of the colleges or that some of the GDA commits were once with ECNL. Again, you can see that the D1 colleges are similar in quality. The players that switched from ECNL to GDA are no different than players who switch from OYSA to ECNL. The argument then trickles down to the academic schools ECNL recruits are commited to (Swarthmore/G-Town) which is actually more impressive IMHO than playing for most of the D1 schools. The point that I am getting at is that GDA is putting girls in position to continue their soccer aspirations, go to good schools, while providing a good option to ECNL. It may make the ECNL parents unhappy because they realize that they are getting less for their $ by comparison, but it does not diminish their kids accomplishments. For ECNL honks to come onto these forums and trash GDA for the reasons listed above, definitely shows insecurity.

Thorns academy isn’t perfect but it is a different option. I think with showcases it’s around $4,000.00 per year ballpark. The best part is guaranteed playing time. So if your kid is struggling to on the field it might be a good fit.

Let’s not knock different options. All have strengths and weaknesses. See which fits your needs.

Playing time guarantee needs some explanation. Is it just guaranteed starts?

Not insecure at all, we just have the financial means to provide our kids with a true national league experience and you don’t. Should have stayed in school or worked a bit harder then you wouldn’t have to settle for less. Hate away!

So ECNL parents are willing to pay twice as much with no guarantee of playing time.
