CCL New England / NSL / MAPLE will continue to rename itself again and again without ever reinventing itself. It’s the same failed league being led by the same group of failed admins and directors.

NEPs shelf life is apparently 10 years. Selfish club directors as the leadership making decisions for their own betterment and to top it all off they now no longer have an administrator.

EDP have been doing leagues for years, all over the east coast. It was never a question of if they would enter this market but when. Now that they’re here, they’ll be here for a long time.

Don’t even start me on DPL. What a joke. Same yahoos that have destroyed NEP are now pulling the same ***** on a new and unproven platform. Road to nowhere.

The DPL was a decent idea before US Soccer pulled out. Now, it’s a joke. Look at the NE line up, really?

Everyone is looking at the USYSA as a better pathway and unless I’m missing something it is far better than the DPL. 3 conferences across the country and one of them is already in doubt. No pathways for good players and NE clubs embarrassing themselves .

EDP will be the prominent league in NE within a year. All top clubs in CT are in, 2-3 clubs from RI and a growing group from MA. NEP has caused its own downfall and good luck to the clowns left holding the bag.

I think once clubs in the DPL realize that they realize that they have no pathway outside of their parochial league they will depart. EDP is tied into a massive structure with Regional and National pathways. It’s only a matter of time.

Well, only guarantee in the future is things will be different, because in youth soccer it always changes. Dpl, npl ecnl maybe even edp.

But, it does not matter. This is a small window your player is moving through. What matters is the now and the next few years, and at this moment edp is nowhere on the map in new england (western ct does not count). Ecnl currently and the foreseeable future has the top pathway if thats whats desired. If you want the next level college opportunities the best league to be in is dpl, ga. Currently not edp for NE.
If your child just wants to kick the ball around (which is fine). Than ccl or edp is great.

A lot more people than SC think that. Unless NEP dramatically changes how they operate they will find more and more club tired of the dysfunction.

im guessing thats why teams wrote a letter of solidarity. I have been hearing that some clubs top teams will enter EDP while the lower level teams will stay in NEP. But who knows, this landscape looks like a nuclear bomb fell on it.

That letter meant nothing when it happened. A million things have changed since then.

Not true for CT teams. Not CFC United, not Oakwood A teams, not even FSA. Yankee has no boys teams, South Central no girls ..... Wondering what the MA teams will send as well? RI and MA surf, NE Rush? Black Rock D teams? Juventus? Not sure about this at all. Could be a pretty weak league.
